What we believe
An assessment should be checked against MPAC’s own valuation data, not accepted on faith and not challenged on guesswork. We conduct an evaluation of your situation, make professional recommendations, and work to achieve the best result available on your file.
That means telling an owner when an appeal is not worth filing, as plainly as we tell them when it is. A recommendation only holds up if it is based on the same data MPAC used, not a general sense that the number looks high.
Where we practise
Ontario only
BrookLex is licensed to practise in Ontario, and we work only with property in Ontario. We do not take houses or condominium units. If a property sits outside Ontario, we will tell you plainly that it is outside what we do.
BrookLex is a small firm by design. Every file is handled by people you can reach directly, from the first review to a hearing at the Assessment Review Board, not passed between departments.
